Official 2026 KSM Online Examination Instructions
Please read the following instructions carefully before starting your examination. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in the automatic termination of your session or disqualification.
1. System & Device Requirements
- Use a Laptop or Desktop: We recognise that many may wish to use their mobile phones, while this is acceptable, for best experience and to prevent unexpected interruptions especially when calls are coming in, it is highly recommended that you use a computer rather than a mobile phone or tablet.
- Camera & Microphone Access: This exam is strictly proctored. You must click "Allow" when your browser prompts for Camera and Microphone access. If your device lacks these features or permissions are denied, you will not be able to take the exam.
2. Internet Access & Exam Environment
- Be seated in front of your device and be ready for the exam 20-30 minutes before the exam (i.e. by 10.30-10.40am). Use this time to log in and be on the exam portal. You will see the countdown. The exam will start at exactly 11am. That’s when you will be able to answer the questions.
- You can take the exam anywhere in the world – at home in your office or in a cybercafé. The 11am is Nigerian Time (WAT).
- Kindly ensure that you are in a quiet location and have access to strong internet connection
3. Navigating the Examination
- Answering Questions: Read each question carefully and click on the radio button corresponding to your preferred answer.
- Question Palette: On the left side of your screen (or at the top for smaller screens), you will see a numbered grid representing all the questions.
- Grey Buttons: These represent Questions that you have not yet answered.
- Green Buttons: These represent Questions that you have successfully answered.
- Moving Around: Use the "Next" and "Previous" buttons at the bottom of the question to move sequentially, or click directly on any number in the Question Palette to jump straight to that question.
4. Auto-Save & Network Issues (Do Not Panic!)
- Continuous Auto-Save: The system automatically saves your answers to the server the exact moment you click an option. You do not need to wait until the end to save.
- If You Lose Connection: Do not panic! If your internet disconnects or your browser crashes, simply refresh the page or log back in. Your timer will resume exactly where it should, and all your previously selected answers will be perfectly restored.
5. How to Submit
- Reaching the End: The "Final Submit" button is hidden to prevent accidental submissions. You must navigate to the final question (e.g., Question 60) to reveal the "Final Submit" button. Before clicking this button, ensure that you do not have any “Grey button” on the exam palette. All should be Green.
- Submitting: Once you are completely satisfied with all your answers, click the "Final Submit" button. You will receive a final confirmation pop-up. Click "Yes, submit now!" to complete your exam.
- Auto-Submission: If your timer reaches exactly zero (00:00:00), that means you have spent the 60 minutes allowed for the exam. The system will safely auto-submit the exam on your behalf.
6. Strict Proctoring Rules
This exam utilizes Advanced AI Proctoring. Any of the following actions will trigger an automated violation report and may lead to disqualification:
- Leaving the Exam Tab: Do not open other tabs, minimize the browser, or switch to other applications.
- Using Developer Tools or Keyboards Shortcuts: Do not right-click, use copy/paste, or attempt to inspect the page.
- Background Noise & Voices: Ensure you are in a quiet room. The system will flag excessive talking or background noise.
- Looking Away: The camera takes periodic photos. Ensure your face remains visible and centered on the screen at all times.
Good luck & Pax Christi!
